WinRAR, the small survive! >> Now in CD format! <<

So… big throwback here, but better late than never! Things are finally settling a bit in my life and I’m able to do things again. My inactivity in the areas I love to work in has been due to family reasons sadly, but I’m here to stay now (or so I hope, let’s not jinx it!).

Well so, what's up? I still can't believe I never got around to make a follow up post to this one, but here I am. To be honest I've got so much to tell and so many ideas to write about... but that's why I decided to start with a rather simple post, instead of a huge life update dump one.

In the end, WinRAR did not send me one, but TWO CD-ROM copies of their software. Apparently there was a problem in transit with my original package which caused it to get super delayed. During this time, I contacted WinRAR to see whether they knew anything about it and they said no, but that they would send me another copy that very afternoon because of the amount of time that had passed. Ironically, a few days later I got this in the mail:

… but you said they were two!! Yeah, the other one arrived several weeks later. It turns out they both came in exactly the same packaging, so I instantly knew it was the second WinRAR copy when I received it in the mail. I’ve kept it sealed all these years in the original pre-cropped envelope. Here’s a picture:

I don’t think I’ll be opening the second one ever. It’s a pretty nice conversation starter haha. I’ll keep it in my desk for the foreseeable future.
